BOB'S TIN ROOM

This site was created to document and catalogue my private collection of tin toys, and to try and help keep alive the tradition of making high quality, old fashioned toys. I collect primarily newer toys - reproductions and newer versions of tin toys in the great tradition of tin toy making. I also collect steam models from the various makers around the world - Mamod, Wilesco, Steamco, Jensen. All of these harken back to days when toys were simple and required imagination - the quality was high and the toys were made to last. It's an artform that doesn't really exist today except among a group of enthusiasts helping to keep these traditions alive.
